The Live Online Facilitator of the Year Award is presented to an individual (employed or freelance) who has shown exceptional online facilitation skills. In particular, the judges will be seeking clear differentiators from other entrants to the Award, evidence of innovation and client endorsement, ensuring learner engagement, having sound subject matter expertise, and having a strong proposition in response to the challenge ‘what was special about your performance this year?’
Your submission

You are requested to structure your submission in a way that covers the sections below. Each section will be reviewed by the judges during the short-listing phase and the submission will be scored. Non-short-listed entrants may request a summary of the judges’ assessments. Please ensure that you observe the strict word count criteria below.

  • Overview – a description of the role that you have performed as online facilitator in the last twelve months and the contribution you have made.

(Maximum 200 words)

  • Description of the key challenges, and the approaches adopted – consider the following points within your submission: key projects and assignments; delivery and deployment considerations; learner engagement, and stakeholder management; personal development, and lessons learned.

(Maximum 300 words)

  • Outcomes – what were the key outcomes over the past year and how can you provide evidence that you met, and exceeded, your stakeholders’ expectations?

(Maximum 200 words)

  • Achievement – what do you consider to be your core achievements within the last twelve months and why do you believe that this is the year that you should be the Online Facilitator of the Year?

Minimum 200 words; maximum 400 words

Facilitation – note that the short-listed entrants will be required to facilitate a 20-minute session on a subject of their choice to the judges. Entrants must inform the IITT of the subject they have chosen at least 1 week before the judging takes place.
