The Institute has been supporting ChildLine for eight years and has raised over £200,000 for the charity. The Institute runs its annual Charity Auction at the Learning Awards each February. This year we are delighted to announce Dreamflight as our 2012 Charity organisation.

Dreamflight’s sole purpose is to take seriously ill and disabled children on their ‘holiday of a lifetime’ to Disneyworld, Florida. The registered charity is funded solely by volunteers and voluntary contributions, and has just 3 employees.

Each year, Dreamflight charters a Boeing 747 and fills it with sick and disabled children from all over the UK. Accompanied by a team of voluntary medical carers, they head for Disneyworld to enjoy that holiday of a lifetime – leaving their families behind – and have the time of their lives, experiencing a freedom and independence that they may struggle to find at home. It also provides their families with a much deserved break.

We are delighted to announce the sponsors of this year’s Charity Auction as KnowledgeAdvisors. For organisations that utilise learning and development to drive business outcomes, KnowledgeAdvisors offers learning measurement software that improves the effectiveness and business impact of learning.
